A woman was killed and a man was injured injured in a double shooting at a West Baltimore home where police found illegal drugs and distribution materials early Saturday, the department said.
Police said Eboni Thornton, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 34-year-old man was taken to an area hospital for treatment, after a shooting in the 300 block of Carrollton Avenue.
Police were called to the Poppleton home at about 1:46 a.m. Inside the home, officers said they found illegal narcotics, as well as paraphernalia used to package the drugs for distribution.
Police said the victims were targeted, and that suspects forced their way inside where they shot the victims. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.
