Man found shot to death in car in Cedonia

A woman died Tuesday night after a disturbance in North Baltimore, police said Thursday.

A man was found shot to death in a parked car in Northeast Baltimore early Thursday morning, police said.

Officers were called at 6:38 a.m. to the 5400 block of Bucknell Road in the Cedonia neighborhood, where they found the man, who has not been identified, dead in the car, police said. Homicide detectives are investigating, and no further information was released.

Police also said Thursday that they are investigating a homicide that took place Tuesday night in North Baltimore.

Officers found a woman unconscious due to physical trauma when they were called at 10:29 p.m. to a reported disturbance in the 4400 block of Laplata Ave. in the Medfield neighborhood.

The woman was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Police said the death was ruled a homicide and that homicide investigators are handling the case. Authorities did not identify the woman or a suspect, and no further information was available Thursday.

Separately, a man was shot in the abdomen in the 900 block of Cooks Lane on the city's southwest side at about 2:23 p.m. Thursday afternoon, police said. He was taken to a city hospital for treatment, and his condition was not released.
