Baltimore police have charged a man in a fatal Christmas morning stabbing outside a Brooklyn convenience.
Police said Ambrosio Lorenzo, 26, stabbed 29-year old Herson Hernandez outside Ray's Food Mart shortly before 2 a.m. on Dec. 25 in the 3800 block of Hanover Street. The stabbing was captured on the store's surveillance video, according to charging documents.
Police said Lorenzo was on his phone and walked up to Hernandez and stabbed him in the neck, the document said. Hernandez tried to run away but Lorenzo chased him and stabbed him again. Witnesses also positively identified Lorenzo as the suspect during a photo array, the document said.
Police said Hernandez was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.
Lorenzo is being held at the Baltimore City Detention Center and is charged with first-degree murder. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records.
