A man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in the Waverly business district, Baltimore Police said.
Police said the shooting was reported in the 3100 block of Greenmount Ave. at about 1:20 a.m. The victim, whose name and age were not provided, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and died hours later at an area hospital.
The killing marks 210 homicides this year in Baltimore. That's a decline of 10 percent from this time last year, when 234 people had been killed.
Non-fatal shootings, which rose last year, were down 6 percent this year, according to department statistics through Dec. 20.
