A 26-year-old woman was arrested after police said she stabbed her father to death Friday afternoon.
Jessica Taylor allegedly stabbed Adam Taylor, 57, multiple times during an argument around 4 p.m. in the 400 block of Walton Court. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Jessica Taylor, his daughter, was taken into custody, charged with first-degree murder and sent to Central Booking.
It was the first of two homicides in Upton within hours.
At 5:14 p.m., officers on patrol heard gunshots coming from the 1200 block of McCulloh St. Officers found a 37-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
At 6:42 p.m., officers were called to the 2500 block of Marbourne Ave. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
