A woman found dead inside a burning home in Frankford has been ruled a homicide, Baltimore police said Wednesday.
The woman was inside a home in the 4400 block of Furley Avenue that had caught fire early Tuesday morning. The medical examiner has ruled this death a homicide, police said. They did not immediately release a cause of death.
Police are withholding the victim's identity until her family has been notified.
No one else was inside the home. The city's homicide unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-396-2100.
Police are also investigating a shooting in the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave., shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday. The victim had a gunshot wound to the groin and was taken to a local hospital.
On Monday, another man was also shot in the groin, in the same block, police said.
