A 25-year-old North Baltimore woman is charged with manslaughter and neglect after police say she left her three children alone and a fire broke out in their Evesham Park apartment. Her 4-year-old daughter, Szki Wright, died from injuries in the August fire, police said.

Brittany Montgomery was arrested Monday and is also charged with reckless endangerment. Online court records did not list her attorney.

On Aug. 28, firefighters were called about 7:50 to the family apartment in the 800 block of Dartmouth Road. Montgomery's three children were left home alone while she visited friends, police said.

The three children were hospitalized with burns. Her 1-year-old son suffered burns to more than 30 percent of his body. Another daughter, 3 years old, suffered minor injuries.
