When officers responded to the crash, police said they found the operator and passenger of the dump truck attempting to render aid to Linzey, who was still inside a four-door 2000 Honda Civic.

Linzey, of the 3600 block of Kenmar Road, was taken by medics to Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

Police said the DPW crew had been dispatched to the area to clear debris off the road. Police said the crew was using a lighted arrow board to signal that the crew was working.

Police said crash team investigators found no signs of braking or evasive maneuvers before the Honda Civic struck the DPW dump truck, and found Linzey at fault.
