A person in police custody escaped by working his way out of his handcuffs on Thursday evening, Baltimore police said.
Police are searching for Vernon Goode, 41, of the 1600 block of N. Gilmor St. He had been arrested on a warrant in connection with a domestic violence incident and was taken to the Central District station at 501 E. Baltimore St., "where it appears he somehow worked his way out of his handcuffs before escaping on foot," police said.
Police said Goode is 5' 10" tall and weighs about 215 pounds. He has neck-length dred-locks and was last seen wearing a short sleeve burgundy shirt, dark jeans, and was carrying a black book bag with braided stitching.
Police ask anyone who sees Goode to call 911.
