Two women were shot, one fatally, in South Baltimore’s Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhood in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Baltimore Police said.

Southern District officers were dispatched to respond to a reported shooting about 3:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Peach St. There, they found a 28-year-old woman and 44-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The 28-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Later Tuesday afternoon, officers were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim.
Police said a 34-year-old man was shot in the back in East Baltimore Midway. The man’s injuries are non-life threatening, police said.
The man told officers that he was shot in the 2100 block of Sherwood Ave. around 3:30 p.m.
