37-year-old woman is shot in the neck in West Baltimore, police say; homicide detectives respond

Homicide detectives were called after a woman was injured in a shooting in West Baltimore, police said Tuesday.

Around 3:05 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1400 block of Mosher St. in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood for a ShotSpotter alert. The officers found a 37-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of her neck, police said.

She was taken to a hospital and her condition is unknown, police said.

Several people near the shooting location watched police and homicide unit detectives gather shell casings from the scene.
