Windsor Mill man charged with fatal shooting, 2 men injured in separate shootings, Baltimore police say

A Windsor Mill man was arrested and charged with killing a man in Baltimore on May 10, Baltimore police said on Monday.

Le’var Cooper, 43, was arrested on Friday and charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Larry Randall, 43, in the 1100 block of Washington Boulevard in the Washington Village neighborhood following a dispute, police said.

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses, examined evidence and identified Cooper as a suspect, police said in a news release.

Cooper is currently waiting to see a court commissioner, police said.

Additionally, police are investigating two overnight shootings that injured two men. Police said the injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Northeast district patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his inner thigh.

The location of the incident is still unknown at this time, police said.

Hours later, Central district officers were dispatched to 100 East Preston St. in the Midtown-Belvedere neighborhood to investigate reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh, police said.

Medics took the man to the hospital where he is suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
