Police say pregnant woman, 34, wounded by gunfire in West Baltimore

A woman police say is pregnant was wounded by gunfire shortly after noon on Saturday as she walked on North Ellamont Street in the Rosemont neighborhood on Baltimore’s west side.

Police said bullets hit the 34-year-old woman in an arm and in her buttocks. She also received what police described as a graze wound to her torso.

The woman told police she heard gunfire just before realizing she had been shot. The shooting occurred at 12:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of N. Ellamont St.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police did not report her condition.
