Baltimore Police: Late Tuesday night shooting in Frankford leaves one man dead, another injured

One man died and another was injured in a shooting late Tuesday night, Baltimore Police said in a news release.

At approximately 10:22 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane in the Frankford neighborhood for a report of a shooting and located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said.

Medics arrived and transported him to an area hospital for treatment.

A second man was also located with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Medics pronounced that victim dead at the scene, the release said.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 Or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.

There was another shooting earlier in the day in Northeast Baltimore.

At approximately 5:44 p.m., district patrol officers responded to the 5100 block of Plainfield Ave. in Frankford for a report of a shooting, police said in an earlier release.

Officers located a man suffering from a graze wound to the eye. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 4100 block of Eierman Ave. in Arcadia by an unidentified suspect. The victim then traveled to the 5100 block of Plainfield, where police were notified.
