One killed, two injured in Tuesday shootings, Baltimore Police say

One man died and two people were injured in separate shootings on Tuesday, Baltimore Police said.

A 34-year-old man died after he was shot in Saint Josephs in Southwest Baltimore on Tuesday, police said.


Officers were called to the 100 block of North Kossuth Street near Daisy Field at about 4:15 p.m. and found Theodore Barksdale, 34, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Shock Trauma and pronounced dead by medics shortly after arriving, police said.

A woman was taken to the hospital after a shooting Tuesday night in Orchard Ridge.

Northeast District officers responded about 11:08 p.m. to the 4000 block of Saint Clair Crossing for a shooting. Police found a woman, 45, with an apparent gunshot wound, according to a news release.

Police previously reported the shooting took place at 11:08 a.m. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call 410-396-2444 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCK-UP.

Earlier that evening, a man was shot in the thigh in West Baltimore, police said.

At about 9:35 p.m., officers arrived at the 2600 block of Lauretta Avenue in the Rosemont Owners/Tenants neighborhood and found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said. He was taken to a hospital. Police said the shooting took place near Ashburton Street and Edmondson Avenue.
