A 40-year-old man was shot and killed in Penn North in West Baltimore on Thursday evening, police said.
Baltimore Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of West North Avenue at 7:04 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release. Officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The man, who has yet to be publicly identified, was transported to Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect fled on foot after the shooting, police said.
