Three men killed in overnight shootings, a 78-year-old man injured in crossfire, Baltimore Police say

Three men were killed and a 78-year-old-man was injured in crossfire in recent shootings, Baltimore police said Friday.

Police said the latest shooting occurred shortly after 4 p.m. Friday when occupants from two vehicles pulled up to the 5400 block of Price Ave. in Northwest Baltimore, got out and began shooting at each other when the victim was accidentally struck.

Police did not have the man’s condition Friday evening.

Around 11:27 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a shooting in the 5600 block of Wayne Ave. in West Baltimore where two men were found inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men died from their injuries, police said.

Close to an hour later, police responded to a shooting in East Baltimore that happened in the 500 block of Curley St. in the Elwood Park neighborhood. When officers got to the scene, a 22-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The unidentified man was taken to an area hospital and was pronounced dead, according to police.

Baltimore homicides are on pace with last year’s numbers. A total of 123 people have been killed this year, matching the total at this time last year, according to police data.
