Man dies days after shooting in Southwest Baltimore that left two others, including teenager, injured

A 31-year-old man died on Feb. 2, a week after he was one of three males — including a 15-year-old boy — who were struck by gunfire in Southwest Baltimore, police officials announced Feb. 3.

At 1:25 p.m. on Jan. 27, police were called to the 400 block of S. Bentalou St. of the Millhill neighborhood where gunfire was detected by the department’s ShotSpotter gunfire detection system.

Police found the victims, ages 15, 24 and 31 suffering from gunshot wounds, nearby in the 2200 block of Ashton St.

They were taken to area hospitals, police said. The 31-year-old succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Southwest District Shooting detectives are investigating. Police said homicide detectives also responded because of the severity of the victims’ injuries.
