A Baltimore man has been charged with first-degree murder after his roommate went missing last month and was later found dead in shallow water, according to police.
Epenetus Henrique, 28, was charged in the killing of Isaiah Drummond, 30, after he confessed to police on Monday that he fatally stabbed him and then led detectives to where he hid the body. Detectives located Drummond’s body around 1:42 p.m. in shallow waters off of 100 Reedbird Ave. in Cherry Hill Park, according to police.
Drummond was reported missing by family members on Jan. 28, according to police. Officers found evidence at Drummond and Henrique’s home in the 2500 block of Cecil Ave. that suggested foul play, officials said.
Henrique was taken to central booking and charged. He currently is waiting to see a court commissioner, according to police.
Baltimore police identified two other homicide victims Tuesday morning: 25-year-old Devante Smith,who was killed on Feb. 7 in the 300 block of Mason Ct. and 26-year-old Devin Henson, who was killed on Feb. 10 in the 800 block of West Lexington St., according to police.
