Baltimore Police: 2 men shot, 1 fatally, in city’s southern districts

One man was killed in a Southwest Baltimore shooting Tuesday night and another was injured in a Southeast Baltimore shooting Wednesday morning, according to police.

Around 11:58 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 300 block of S. Bentalou St. in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived at the location, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The man was taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.

Then, at 7:09 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to Gusryan and Boston streets for a shooting. When officers arrived, a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds to his body.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment. Preliminary information from an investigation showed that the man was shot while in the 1300 block of Elrino St.. He then ran to the corner of Gusryan and Boston streets where officers found him, police said.
