Four overnight shootings in Baltimore result in one dead, three injured

Four overnight shootings throughout the city resulted in one death and three injuries, police said Thursday.

Baltimore Police responded to a report of a shooting downtown in the 200 block of East Redwood Street at 3:57 a.m. on Thursday. They found two adult men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the unit block of South Calvert Street, police said.

Both men were transported to the hospital. Twenty-five-year-old Ryan Harris was pronounced dead, and the other man, who is 29 years old, is in critical condition but stable, police said.

Earlier in the evening, at approximately 8:27 p.m. on Wednesday, BPD foot patrol officers discovered a 51-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue in Carroll-South Hilton. The man was given tourniquets and transferred to a hospital, police said.

At 11:45 p.m., BPD officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4900 block of Litchfield Avenue in Langston Hughes. Officers found a 24-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said.

The man was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. BPD has yet to release the identities of any of the men.
