Woman, man killed, two others wounded in shootings overnight in Baltimore, police say

A woman was fatally shot in the back of her head, a man was gunned down and two other men were wounded by gunfire overnight in Baltimore, police said Saturday.

The woman was found shot in her head at about 9 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of East Oliver Street in East Baltimore. On Saturday, police said she died. They did not provide addition information.

Also late Friday, just before midnight, officers found a man fatally shot in the 3600 block of 5th Street in the Brooklyn neighborhood of South Baltimore. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Police have not identified him.

At about 3 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to a shooting in the 6600 block of Aquarius Court in Northeast Baltimore. Police said they spotted a vehicle speeding away. They stopped the vehicle and found the driver, a 36-year-old man, was shot through the back of his left shoulder. He told officers he was driving and heard a loud bang. His window shattered, and he realized he had been shot.

He was hospitalized in good condition, police say.

About a half hour later in North Baltimore, a 21-year-old man checked himself into the hospital with a gunshot wound that police said was not life-threatening. The man told officers he was parked in the 2700 block of Barclay Street in Harwood to wait for a friend. The friend came up, but he was arguing with another man. When the friend got into the car, the other man pulled out a handgun and shot through the windshield to hit the 21-year-old.
