Monday shootings leave two dead, five injured, police say

Two man died and five others were injured in separate shootings on Monday, Baltimore Police said.

A 35-year-old was shot in Northeast Baltimore on Monday night and died at a local hospital, Baltimore Police said.

Officers arrived around 11:50 p.m. at the 2600 block of Garrett Avenue in Northeast Baltimore’s Coldstream Homestead Montebello neighborhood for a ShotSpotter alert. They found a man, identified Thursday as Antwan Watson, suffering from gunshot wounds and took him to the hospital, where he later died.

Police said a man was fatally shot in Lucille Park in Northwest Baltimore on Monday afternoon.

Officers arrived in the 3600 block of Woodland Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. and found 38-year-old Khalil Tatum with a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

About an hour earlier, a 28-year-old was injured in a shooting in Liberty Square in Northwest Baltimore, according to police.

Officers responded to the 2300 block of Tioga Parkway at about 12:25 p.m. and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics took him to a hospital for treatment.

Police said a man was seriously injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in West Baltimore.

Officers arrived at a hospital where the victim had walked in seeking treatment for a gunshot wound near his left armpit at about 4:20 p.m. He told police he was shot at about 4 p.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and McCulloh Street on the border of Upton and Madison Park.

Another man was critically injured in a shooting early Monday morning in Bolton Hill, police said.

Police found a 32-year-old man with “apparently life-threatening gunshot wounds” in the 800 block of North Belnord Avenue, according to a news release. He was taken to a hospital, where he is in critical condition, police said.

Two men were injured in a shooting Monday evening in Belair-Edison in East Baltimore, police said.

At about 7:10 p.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter alert near Belair Road and Mayfield Avenue. A 32-year-old who had been shot in the buttocks, and a 28-year-old man who was shot in his right foot walked into a hospital around the same time.

A 38-year-old man who was shot and critically injured in East Baltimore on Sunday has died from his injuries, police said Tuesday. Police did not identify the man. Officers found him around 8:30 p.m. in the 900 block of North Broadway in the Gay Street neighborhood, where an MTA officer was treating him. He was unresponsive and had gunshot wounds to his back.

Police arrested a 42-year-old man, whose charges are pending, in connection with the shooting.
