Two people attacked in separate incidents last year, including a man set on fire, have died, Baltimore police said

Two people who were assaulted in separate incidents last year have died this week from their injuries, Baltimore police said.

A man who was set on fire in late December died from his injuries on Wednesday, according to Baltimore police. They did not identify the man, who they have said was assaulted in the 800 block of Roundview Road in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of South Baltimore on Dec. 27. He was 40, police said.

Baltimore police are also investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Feb. 18, 2020 in the 100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. in the Brooklyn neighborhood of South Baltimore. In that case a 61-year-old man was assaulted, and on Tuesday succumbed to his injuries, police said.
