A man was shot to death Monday afternoon in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood, police say, at the same address and in the same alley where another man was gunned down in March.
Baltimore police say that at around 2:36 p.m. someone approached a police officer working a traffic accident at the intersection of West Pratt Street at South Monroe Street and said someone had been shot in the 200 block of Harmison St.
The officer found an unidentified man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma and pronounced dead, police said.
Homicide detectives and other officers combed the street Monday afternoon. The shooting scene is between several vacant homes with boarded-up windows and was taped off by police. Officers set markers in an alley where the shooting took place as neighborhood residents watched.
The alley and address cited by police in a news release is the same spot where Craig Underwood, 35, was fatally shot March 25, also in broad daylight at 3:27 p.m.
Police are asking for anyone with information on Monday’s homicide to call detectives at (410) 396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
