Baltimore Police have arrested a man on charges he killed another man Thursday night, police said in a statement Friday afternoon.
Philip Blakenship, 29, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and other related crimes, police said. Homicide detectives identified Blakenship early on in their investigation, they said, and he is currently being held in central booking without bail.
Thursday night, police responded to the 1300 block of North Charles St. around 8:22 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a male suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics came to the scene and pronounced the victim dead, according to police.
Information on Blakenship’s attorney and charges were not readily available in Maryland Court records.
