A 60-year-old man who was beaten last month has died from his injuries, according to Baltimore police.
Rashad Peartree, 33, was charged Feb. 19 with first- and second-degree assault after allegedly beating Louis Henson. Police said Henson died from his injuries at about 9:57 Saturday morning.

On Feb. 18, police responded to the 500 block of Guilford Ave. at about 2:30 p.m. and found Henson suffering from beating injuries, police said. Henson died from his injuries almost two weeks later.
Homicide detectives will speak with the State’s Attorney’s Office to amend the charges against Peartree, police say.
There have been 52 homicides so far this year in Baltimore.
