Baltimore Police: Human remains found, 2 others fatally shot

Two people were fatally shot and a bag of human remains found in Baltimore was ruled a homicide this week, city police said.

A little past midnight on Friday, officers responded to a possible hit-and-run accident located on the 500 block of North Payson Street in Midtown-Edmonson.


A 44-year-old male victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body at the scene, and he was pronounced deceased shortly after being transported to an area hospital.

Late Thursday night, officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 2900 block of Thorndale Avenue in Cylburn.


Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified male victim sitting in a vehicle unresponsive while suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

He was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Officers located decomposed human remains inside a trash bag near the 800 block of Showell Court in the Johnston Square neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was pronounced deceased by a Baltimore City Fire Department medic at the scene.

The cause of death was ruled a homicide after the body was transported to the medical examiner’s office.
