Woman fatally shot in Baltimore Tuesday night, while a man was killed shortly after midnight, police say

Baltimore police are investigating after two people were killed overnight, including a woman who was found shot to death in Druid Hill Park and a man shot to death in his car.

Around 8:08 p.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 3100 block of Swann Dr. for reports of an unresponsive person and found a woman who was shot in the neck. Medics were called to the scene and she was pronounced dead, police said.

Hours later, Eastern District patrol officers were called to the 1900 block of N. Chester St. for a report of a crash near the Broadway East neighborhood of East Baltimore. When officers arrived around 12:19 a.m., they found a man inside the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

The car had crashed into an unoccupied car. Medics took the man to an area hospital where he later died, police said.

Preliminary information showed that the man was parked in the 1700 block of N. Chester St. when an unidentified suspect began shooting at the man, police said. The man drove northbound where he later crashed into a parked vehicle, police said.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100.
