A 31-year-old man was fatally shot in Cherry Hill Tuesday afternoon, the Baltimore Police Department said.
Responding officers found the man with multiple gunshot wounds around 4:21 p.m. in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road, police said. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. His name was not immediately released.
The daytime shooting took place in the heart of the South Baltimore neighborhood, with two bus lines serving the shops and carry-out restaurants at the Cherry Hill Town Center, a Family Health Centers of Baltimore facility and South Church in the block.
Homicide detectives are investigating and have not yet identified a suspect or determined a motive in the killing, police said.
