Baltimore Police search for driver who fatally struck a woman in Park Heights

Baltimore Police are looking for the driver of a sedan that they believe sped down Park Heights Avenue on Saturday morning, killing a woman who was trying to cross the street.

The woman was in a crosswalk in the 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue near Pimlico Race Course when she was fatally struck. Police who arrived at about 8:30 a.m. found the woman suffering from massive trauma.

The woman was taken to nearby Sinai Hospital, where she died, police said.

Police believe it was a speeding gray or silver four-door sedan that struck the woman. The car was going southbound on Park Heights Avenue and the driver never stopped.

The car likely has damage to its roof as well as broken front and rear windshields.
