Baltimore woman charged with boyfriend’s murder in Ellwood Park-Monument, police say

Grace Agnant, 44, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a man in the 500 block of N. Clinton St.

Baltimore Police have arrested a 44-year-old woman in connection with the death of her boyfriend who was found beaten inside the couple’s Elwood Park-Monument home Friday.

Police arrested Grace Agnant of the 500 block of N. Clinton St. and charged her with first-degree murder after Michael Beatty, 47, was found dead Friday around 12:40 a.m. inside their home.

Charging documents said Beatty had “apparent” stab wounds to the back of his head. An autopsy revealed he died as a result of blunt force trauma, police said.

Homicide detectives identified Agnant as a suspect after analyzing evidence at the scene and interviewing witnesses, according to police. The couple had a history of domestic violence, according to charging documents.

Court records show Agnant is facing eight charges, including: first-degree murder, first-degree assault and manslaughter. She is being held without bail, court records said. No attorney was listed in online records for Agnant.
