Baltimore man charged with fatally stabbing a man in his bathtub, police say

A Baltimore man stabbed another man to death inside of a home on Monday and confessed when officers arrived, according to Baltimore police.

Eric Nash, 36, is charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail at Central booking.

On Monday around 6:56 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of S. Ballou Ct., near the Perkins Home Public Housing projects after receiving reports that someone had been cut. There they found 39-year-old John Noel sitting in of a bathtub suffering from stab wounds, police said.

Noel was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later, according to police.

Nash was still on the scene when police got there and confessed to the crime, police said Wednesday. After he was taken into custody and transferred to a police station he confessed again, Baltimore police said.

Police said they do not yet have a motive.
