Baltimore Police: Man dies in McElderry Park shooting; another man shot in Northeast Baltimore

Baltimore Police say a man died after he was shot in the head in the city’s McElderry Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

The department wrote in a news release that officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the 2600 block of E. Fayette St. at 2:40 p.m.

Upon arriving, the officers found an unresponsive adult man who’d been shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police identified neither the victim nor a suspect in his death.

Police said late Tuesday night that a 25-year-old man was shot in the lower back in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood.

The department wrote in a news release that officers responded to a report of a shooting at 8:43 p.m. in the area of Kennedy Avenue and Abbotston Street in Northeast Baltimore and found the man suffering from the gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries, said police, who identified neither the victim nor a suspect in the shooting.
