36-year-old man fatally shot Tuesday in West Baltimore, another man injured in separate shooting, police say

Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings after a 36-year-old man was fatally wounded and another man was injured in a separate shooting Tuesday, police said.

Close to 10:16 a.m., a ShotSpotter alert of gunfire in the area dispatched officers to a shooting scene in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood along the 1400 block of N. Mount St. Officers found the 36-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds and attempted to render aid until medical personnel arrived, police said.

The man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by ambulance and was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

Police said Northern District officers were called to the 2800 block of Oakford Ave. for a shooting around 7 p.m. for a shooting.

When officers arrived in the Parklane neighborhood they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital, police said, and his condition is unknown.
