Man shot and killed in downtown Baltimore early Monday

A man was killed in a downtown shooting early Monday morning, Baltimore Police said.

Officers arrived around 12:50 a.m. to the 300 block of Park Avenue and found 35-year-old Eric Plater suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died from his injuries


Homicide investigators ask anyone with information about the fatal shooting to contact detectives at 410-396-2100 or make an anonymous call to the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCK-UP. People can also anonymously text a tip on the MCS of Maryland website.
