One man killed Saturday morning and six others injured throughout weekend shootings, Baltimore Police say

Baltimore Police are investigating a series of shootings throughout the weekend that left one man dead and six others injured. .

Around 11:40 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 5200 block of Cuthbert Ave. in the Arlington neighborhood for a report of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds to his head. Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead on arrival, police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating the killing and are asking for anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.

Earlier, officers were called to the 100 block of N. Rock Glen Road near the Westgate neighborhood around 10:48 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was taken to an area hospital where he is listed to be in “serious condition” police said.

Then, around 1:52 a.m., officers responded to an area hospital where a shooting victim walked in seeking treatment. Police found a 29-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was listed in “serious but stable condition,” according to police.

The man told police he was in the 2100 block of E. Northern Pkwy. when he was shot.

Northeast District shooting detectives are investigating the shooting and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2444.

Less than two hours later, police responded to the 1500 block of Russell St. close to the Washington Village neighborhood for a shooting around 3:06 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man who had been shot. The man was taken to an area hospital and his injuries are non-life-threatening.

The victim later told Southern District detectives that he was inside a Royal Farms store and got into an argument with two unknown male suspects. The argument then moved outside and one of the males pulled out a gun and shot him. The victim ran into a casino searching for help, police said.

Southern District detectives are investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2499.

Early Sunday morning, just before 1 a.m. officers were called to the 1900 block of N. Bentalou St. for a ShotSpotter alert.

When officers arrived in West Baltimore’s Mondawmin neighborhood, they found a 46-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body.

Police said the man was transported to an area hospital and is in “serious” condition.

Just before 5 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of N. Luzerne St. for a shooting.

When officers arrived in Southeast Baltimore’s McElderry Park neighborhood they found a male who had been shot in his chest. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in “serious but stable” condition, police said.

Police also found a 24-year-old woman who had been shot in the leg. The department said her injury was non-life-threatening.
