A man was shot to death in Baltimore early Saturday morning, while two other men were wounded in shootings that occurred over an approximately two-hour stretch, police said.
Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said, patrol officers assigned to the Eastern District Station arrived in the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave. to investigate an alert by the city’s Shot Spotter gunshot detection system.
There, in the city’s Barclay neighborhood, they found a 26-year-old man who’d been shot in his left leg, police said.
Police said medics took the man to a hospital but he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter by medical staff.
The police department encourages anyone with information about the fatal shooting to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100. Police said those who know someone but who wish to remain anonymous can leave a tip with Metro Crime Stoppers by dialing 1-866-7LOCKUP.
The fatal shooting happened about about two hours after a nonfatal shooting in South Baltimore and minutes before officers went to the hospital to find someone who’d been shot, according to police.
