Fatal stabbing, two shootings reported Thursday in Baltimore

Baltimore Police were investigating a fatal stabbing and separate midday shootings Thursday that left two people injured.

The stabbing occurred in West Baltimore in the 1700 block of W. North Ave., and police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not immediately identified. A video posted to Facebook of the incident's aftermath showed the victim lying on the sidewalk as officers pushed onlookers, including several small children, back.

Anyone with information was asked to call 410-396-2100.

Earlier, police reported two non-fatal shootings. The first was reported around 10:30 a.m. at Druid Hill Park. Police said officers went to the 3000 block of Reisterstown Road and found a man in the park suffering from a gunshot wound to his "lower extremities." The investigation shut down Reisterstown Road in both direction as police examined the crime scene. The man was expected to survive.

A second incident was reported around noon, with a man shot in the shoulder in the 1900 block of E. 30th St. just south of Lake Montebello in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood. The incident was initially reported to have occurred in the 3000 block of Jenifer Ave. That victim was also expected to survive.

Anyone with information about the shooting at Druid Hill Park was asked to call 410-396-2466, while anyone with information about the Jenifer Avenue shooting was asked to call 410-396-2444.
