'Enforcer' for Cherry Hill gang gets 18 years in federal prison

A 26-year-old Cherry Hill man who pleaded guilty to being an "enforcer" for a neighborhood gang was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison Wednesday for conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise, federal prosecutors said.

According to his plea agreement, Antione White was a member of the "Up Da Hill" group in Cherry Hill and responsible for committing robberies on behalf of the group and shooting at rivals.

In May 2012, he was pulled over while driving with two other UDH members and police found a loaded .380 semi-automatic handgun, which a ballistics test matched to cartridge cases recovered from the shooting of a rival earlier in the month, prosecutors said.

White also admitted to selling crack cocaine, heroin and other drugs with UDH members from a stash house on Giles Road, where the group stored communal firearms.

Authorities say UDH was in a long-running dispute with members of other organizations in the Cherry Hill neighborhood. White was among 15 people indicted in December 2013.
