A man has been arrested after allegedly shooting at officers Saturday night, Baltimore police said.
Around 11:30 p.m. police were patrolling the area where 13-year-old DiAndre Barnes was shot to death earlier that day. Officers encountered an armed man who fired at them, police said. Officers returned fire during a chase, but did not strike the suspect, police said. The suspect fled to the roof of a building on Fremont Avenue and surrendered after a brief barricade, police said.
The man is in custody and faces charges, police said.
