A 37-year-old Upton man has been arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder in a shooting June 15, Baltimore police said Friday.
Dannta Holmes of the 1500 block of Shields Place in Upton is accused of shooting a 30-year-old man in the neck, police said.
The victim approached police in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road in Northwest Baltimore. The victim was bleeding from the neck and said he was shot in the 4100 block of Garrison Ave. Medics took the victim to an area hospital.
After an investigation, police arrested Holmes on Monday, not far from the scene of the shooting.
He is being held without bail.
Holmes' public defender, Kirsten Gettys Downs, was unavailable to comment Friday morning.
Holmes is also facing charges of first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and felony firearm use, according to court records.
