An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the robbery and sexual assault of two women in west Baltimore earlier this month.
Baltimore police said Levi Bonds turned himself in to police on Saturday. He was the second suspect wanted in connection with the incident.
Police said that around 8 p.m. on Aug. 18, two women were robbed by two males armed with guns while walking to their car near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Druid Hill Avenue. Police said after the robbery, the suspects forced the women into the car and ordered them to drive.
Police commissioner Kevin Davis said Thursday that the suspects used the victims phones, calling people listed in their contacts and demanding ransom for their release.
In the unit block of North Norris Street, the victims were sexually assaulted by the suspects, police said. The males left the scene and the victims called police.
Bonds was charged with rape, robbery and other assault charges, police said. Online court records did not list his attorney.
On Thursday, police announced they had arrested Quamontae Johnson, 17, charging him as an adult in connection with the crime.
