Maryland prison officials are acknowledging that two bullets were found in the possession of an inmate or inmates at the maximum-security North Branch Correctional Institution near Cumberland.
A Division of Correction spokeswoman said Monday that she's looking into the incident.
The Cumberland Times-News reports that the .22-caliber rounds were found Nov. 21.
The newspaper first learned of the incident from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the collective bargaining agent for correctional officers and other state workers.
