Police identify man, 24, fatally shot in NW Baltimore

According to postings from friends on Facebook, Spencer, who was known as "Trey," had played running back for a semi-pro football team called the Arbutus Big Red, which after his death posted an image of Spencer's uniform number, 9, over a red ribbon on their Facebook page. They reminisced about his hard-charging style: "He would always tell Coach Giles 'I'm too strong for em coach, too strong,'" one former teammate wrote. 

A 27-year-old man was also found shot in the back early Saturday morning in Baltimore, The Sun's Nicole Fuller reported.

Police responded to the report of a shooting in the 800 block of N. Curley Street at 2:31 a.m. The man, who has not been identified was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. He was transported to an area hospital.
