Police say Michael D. Glenn picked up a woman in an illegal taxi -- called a hack -- and instead of taking her to destination, he raped her at knife point in a secluded West Baltimore park.
On Friday, a Baltimore jury convicted Glenn, 27, of first-degree rape, assault and using a deadly weapon with the intent to injure. He is scheduled to be sentenced April 4 and faces up to two life plus 38 year terms in prison.
The Baltimore State's Attorney's Office said that Glenn picked up the woman on May 8 of last year and offered to drive her to her location for a fee. Prosecutors said he instead drove her to Leakin Park, put a box cutter knife to her neck and raped her as he threatened to kill her.
