Baltimore Police Blotter: Robberies for the week of Oct. 11

More than 80 people were robbed across Baltimore during the week ending Oct. 11, a 20 percent jump from the previous week, statistics show.
The 82 reported robberies included three that occurred downtown, four in Mid-Town Belvedere, and six in Carrollton Ridge. Eleven of the incidents were home invasions.
The Northeastern District saw the most - 14 - and has experienced the most robberies in the city this year. It is also the city's largest police district. The Southeastern District saw 13 robberies, and the Southern District experienced 12.
Here is a sampling of the incidents from OpenBaltimore. A detailed narrative of the incidents is not available from Baltimore Police.
-A business in Sandtown-Winchester, in the 1400 block of W. Lafayette St., was held up at gunpoint on Oct. 5 at 1:20 a.m.
-Someone was robbed in the 700 block of S. Broadway in Fells Point on Oct. 5 at 1:45 a.m.
-A robbery was reported in the 400 block of S. Patterson Park Ave. in Upper Fells Point on Oct. 5 at 9:15 p.m.
-Two people were robbed in a home invasion in the 5000 block of Raintree Way in Parkside, on Oct. 5 at 1:50 p.m. A homicide - the killing of 24-year-old Jaleesa Brooks - was reported at the same address at the same time. Police did not disclose that others had been robbed in this incident.
-Three people were robbed at gunpoint in the 3600 block of 6th St. in Brooklyn on Oct. 5 at 10:40 p.m.
-A carjacking was reported on Cobbler Lane in Irvington at 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 6.
-Someone was robbed at knifepoint in the 1000 block of St. Paul St. in Mid-Town Belvedere on Oct. 6 at 6:50 a.m.
-A carjacking at knifepoint was reported in Hamilton Hills, in the 2400 block of Gainsborough Ct., on Oct. 6 at 8:45 a.m.
-Someone was robbed at gunpoint in the 2900 block of Edison Highway in Belair-Edison on Oct. 6 at 9:40 p.m.
-A home invasion was reported in the 700 block of Mura St. in Johnston Square, on Oct. 7 at 1:40 a.m.
-A business was robbed in the 5200 block of York Rd. on Oct. 7 at 2:20 p.m.
-Someone was robbed at gunpoint in the 1800 block of Hope St. on Oct. 7 at 7:45 p.m.
-Two people were robbed in the first block of Talbott St. in Brooklyn on Oct. 7 at 10:15 p.m.
-A home invasion was reported in Cherry Hill in the 800 block of Bethune Rd. on Oct. 7 at 7:53 p.m.
-Someone was robbed at gunpoint in canton, in the 1300 block of S. Conkling St., on Oct. 8 at 4:10 a.m.
-A gunpoint street robbery was reported in the 3200 block of Wylie Ave. in Central Park Heights at Oct. 8, 5:10 a.m. About 40 minutes later, another gunpoint street robbery was reported in the 5100 block of Cordelia Ave. in Langston Hughes.
-A home invasion was reported in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. in Upton on Oct. 8 at 5:30 p.m.
-A business was robbed at gunpoint in the 4700 block of Erdman Ave. in Armistead Gardens on Oct. 8 at 8:15 p.m.
-Three people were robbed in a home invasion in the 1800 block of Eagle St. in Carrollton Ridge. It occurred at 9:52 p.m. on Oct. 8.
-Someone was robbed at gunpoint in the first block of W. Biddle St. in Mid-Town Belvedere on Oct. 8 at 9:30 p.m.
-A robbery in Patterson Park, listed as the 200 block of S. Linwood Ave., was reported at midnight on Oct. 9.
-A business in Morrell Park was held up at gunpoint in the 3200 block of Washington Blvd. at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 9.
-Someone was robbed in the 1300 block of John St. in Bolton Hill at 5:56 a.m. on Oct. 9.
-Someone was robbed in the first block of N. Howard St. downtown at 12:25 p.m. on Oct. 9. At 9:25 a.m. that day someone was also robbed at knifepoint in the first block of E. Pleasant St. A knifepoint robbery was also reported that morning, at 7:20 a.m., in the 1100 block of N. Charles St. in Mid-Town Belvedere.
-A street robbery at gunpoint was reported in the Hollins Market neighborhood, in the 800 block of Hollins St., at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 9.
-Two people were held up at gunpoint in the 5200 block of Cedgate Rd. in Cedonia on Oct. 9 at 8:30 p.m.
-A gunpoint street robbery was reported in the 600 block of Poplar Grove St. in the Franklintown Rd. neighborhood on Oct. 10 at 11 p.m.
