The Baltimore County Police Department responded to 9,618 calls in the week of October 20-26, according to numbers released Monday.
That tally of police calls includes events like cancelled alarms and route corrections, but also higher-profile actions, including robberies and assaults.
The weekly count of calls puts the total number of police calls for October 2014 so far at just over 36,000 as of Sunday. That's roughly the same as the call tally as of October 26 last year, according to data the county had previously released.
