A bullet was shot through a second floor Annapolis apartment window and lodged in a wall Monday night after shots were fired within 24 hours of another incident in the same block that also damaged property inside a residence, police said.
Officers responded around 11 p.m. Monday to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive for reports of shots fired when they determined a bullet entered through the window, police said in a news release. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
On Sunday night, around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the same block for reports of shots fired. Officers discovered a bullet went through the rear window of the apartment, into the couch and into the wall. There were no injuries reported or arrests in that case either.
Annapolis police spokeswoman Patti Norris said that the two incidents happened in different buildings and that there isn’t an indication they are related.
