The Anne Arundel Police Department has identified Antwaun Conyers, 32, of New Carrollton as the man shot and killed Wednesday morning on Russett Green East in Laurel.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., first responders located Conyers on the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Fire department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Detectives believe Conyers’ killing was targeted after learning of a potential connection between him and the suspect, who fled from the area in a dark-colored sedan. The suspect has not been named, though a spokesperson told media Wednesday that the “highly traveled area” where Conyers was killed has the “potential for video evidence.”
